air cleaner heat tube (#9652)
Ford used a paper/aluminum hose or tube to connect the air cleaner's snorkel to the heat stove on the exhaust manifold. Those typically haven't lasted and yet are a critical part of the well-engineered air intake system. But, Ford didn't really supply replacements. Instead they provided bulk tubing which was cut to fit. But, in case a die-hard wants the part number of one for his truck, those are provided below.
But, for those who are more practical, here's how to do it. Ford provided the hint shown below in the master parts catalog. Basically you buy C9UZ 9652-A, or E3TZ-9652-A which replaced it, such as from Dennis Carpenter, and you'll get an 18" length of 2" diameter flex tubing made for that usage. Just cut it to the length you need, add hose clamps, and you'll now get hot air into the air cleaner. Or, maybe even easier, go to the local parts store and get a short length of the tubing most of them stock.
