1984 Ford f150 survivor
As of 9/26/2018 this truck was for sale by Davis Auto Sales. They were asking $16,995. They were gracious and gave me approval to preserve the pictures. And here's their write up on the truck:
1984 Ford F150 regular cab long bed Classic pick up truck with 452 original miles. This truck was stored for over 30 years, the one photo shows exactly how it came out of the storage facility covered in dust, original tires that still had the nips on them, but had dry rotted and separated from age. This truck even still has the original oil filter, all original exhaust that has not even yet burnt the factory undercoating off, this truck is absolutely still like it left the show room in 1984. Straight inline 6 cyl motor, auto transmission, bench seat, to make the truck drivable we did have to replace the fuel pump, brake calipers, and of course tires. We have tried to leave it completely the way it was with everything original as possible. A good thorough proper detail would really bring this truck to life, but we did not want to go to far with it. The only negative is from the vehicle sitting in from just typical Virginia moisture it does have slight bubbling in the bottom edge of doors and the plastic chrome trim has some oxidation. This truck was owned by a family member of a local customer of ours, it was originally bought in Baltimore then brought to Chester Virginia and then put in storage right after that trip. Clear title on hand, documenting the mileage as actual. We ourselves even slightly doubted its reality until we thoroughly looked the truck over the needles in the dash are still bright orange like the day they were new, flooring, Pedals, seat, undercarriage, inside bed etc. have zero wear, things that you just cannot make fake. Even the new car sticker is partially still on the windshield in the left corner as it would have been in this day and time. (ORIGINAL key tag still on keys too!) If there was ever a true Barrett Jackson/Meccum auction potential vehicle this would be it. Would be a unique piece for any collection or at the same time still affordable reasonably cheap transportation as far as trucks go.
