The next class for the youth at church is on building a web site. We will use Weebly to do this given its simplicity and zero cost. And, while it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that editors like Front Page offer, it gives plenty of options to create a very functional web site. However, it does seem to have a # of glitches, so we will address the ones I've found and discuss how to get around them.
And, while some of the students have iPads or Android devices, I'm going to suggest that they consider using a PC or laptop to do the editing. That's because the iPad app, and presumably the Android app, don't provide full functionality - at least as of today (Jan 2016). Further, I've had problems with the iPad app having out of date information on my site, which took rebooting the iPad to correct. My fear is that the site would have been corrupted had I published using the iPad app when it was out of date, so I would rather not use it at all.
Anyway, the goal of this session is that each student understands how to plan and implement a web site, and that having done so will better understand how web sites function. And, speaking of students, here they are!
