Story: Well my story starts in December 1987 when I acquired this truck. My first car was a 67 mustang (which I still have along with a few more now) that I drove my high school years. When I graduated I had decided to take up the electrical field and driving the mustang to construction sites and trying to show it was not working out very well. My parents decided they would help me buy something that I could just mainly drive to work that is when this truck came about. We purchased it in December of 1987 and I believe I have seen better looking motors in the junk yard than what was in this truck. The title shows as of 12/87 the odometer reading was 148934 miles if that is correct but this truck was in very bad shape and pretty beat up. It originally had the 4.2 litre 255 V8 and someone had already replaced that with a D2OE 302 block and all the smog parts where long gone just your basics left. Well 21000 miles after I purchased it what do you know it shattered number 7 piston and me not knowing at the time I needed a motor with a dip stick hole on the left side of the block it got replaced with a rebuilt D2OE block bored .040 over as came out of it and that is the one in it till this day. That motor now has 215,000 miles on it and I still primarily only drive this truck to work. My father helped me paint (original colors) it in the back yard shortly after we purchased it and it is definitely in need of being painted again. It had two of the Ford 5 slot wheels on the back and wire hub caps on the front and the guy I purchased it from said he had the other two if I wanted them so they came with the truck. Once I stared working and making better money through the years my father has told me I should sell this truck and buy me something better now that I am working and can but just kept driving this one. I did end up buying a brand new 92 GMC Southern Comfort step side truck which I still have also. I had found a 85 F150 here in a local junk yard that they had just taken in and had not even put it out for anyone to pick yet the guy told me be here that Saturday morning and I could get anything I want off the truck. That is where all my A/C, power brakes, power steering, radio, and complete dash with vents came from. Assuming the mileage was correct showing on the title it would now have right at 385,000 miles on it.
