History:
First owner used used it as a small cattle farm truck and sold it to us in 1998 with 121,000 miles for $3000. We live in a rural area and used Sam, as we named it, to handle all the truck needs of an 8 acre homesite until 2013 when I retired from work. Sam was showing the 31 years of age by then and it was a decision of whether to fix it up or to buy a newer truck. Fixing won out as mechanically Sam was still in good shape, and at least I knew what I had. These pictures were taken in 11/2013 right after restoration. It had 204,000 miles on it then. The floor pans, rear cab corners, and tailgate were replaced, painted the factory paint codes, new bed rails and alloy wheels added. Paint, seat bottom, and new flooring installation completed the interior, Sam has original running gear although the transmission has been rebuilt, headliner, dash cover and the seat back are all original. It gets driven about 1000 miles a year since this work has been done and stays in the garage the rest of the time.
