Kristopherdb's 1985 Flairside 4x4
Owner: Kristopher Buxton/kristopherdb
Location: Oregon City OR
Model: 1985 Flairside 4x4
Engine: 300i 6
Story: This 1985 flairside was the truck that I learned to drive on with permit back in 1995. It sat abandoned for the past 10 years with the windows down and was in really bad shape with no brakes, cracked or faded from top to bottom and had not ran in at least 12 years. Once I acquired the truck from the step father I got it started within a couple days and then spent several hours online and local pick and pulls gathering parts to get her road worthy. I failed DEQ which is required 8 times over an 8 week period before I finally got my plates and stickers. Since that time I have went through the truck upgrading the old weathered out parts and panels with available upgrades from salvage and parts trucks and adding a bit of my flair to the truck. The old dented doors that had rotted from the inside out were replaced with doors from a truck of the same year and color code followed by the hood and fenders. A paint job to match the factory paint is scheduled for next spring but I was able to get some of the luster back with some elbow grease in the meantime.
