Story: I purchased this old girl from a gentleman in rural Georgia two years ago. Feeling compelled to bargain my counter was met with a stony stare from a towering 280lbs of prison guard. We came to terms and I’m so glad we did. She does yeoman service towing British sports cars with Lucas electrics and hauling the odd deer to the processor. But the most fun’s to be had ringing a chain around a tree stump and letting the granny gear go to work. I’d doubted the tales about being able to engage gear and then walk alongside but it’s a great party trick.
She’s been no trouble since a carb rebuild. My only upgrade has been a caddy made of pecan from my b-in-law’s farm. In fact I get more grief from the insurer’s regular requests to increase the insured value. I guess the seller knew her true worth.
