For the regular cab trucks there's always been the concern of where and how to store things. Ford provided two options, the Deluxe In-Cab Rifle Safe, and the Cab Storage Organizer. Here are pics and descriptions of them from the 1982 Accessories Catalog: (Click the pic for a larger view.)
Unfortunately neither of those devices are readily available. In fact, the rifle safe is almost a unicorn, but if we find one we'll put pics in the tab below.. As for the organizer, there are a few of the organizers around, and some guys have built their own. Plus there are some aftermarket ones. On the tab below we'll provide pics and dimensions for whatever ones we can find.

- Front to back: 3" at the top & 6.5" at the bottom
My behind-the-seat organizer is a Dee-Zee CO-75, and you can follow how I installed it in Big Blue by starting to read here. The dimensions of my organizer are shown below. (You can see the Dee-Zee catalog entry here.)
- 53 1/2" wide x 15" high x 6 1/2" deep at base to 2 3/4" at top. But, it doesn't start angling for the first 3"
- Main compartment is 41 5/8" wide & the right compartment is 11 5/8" wide
- Bottom shelf is 6 1/2" high w/a 2" lip in front
- Middle shelf is 6 1/4" high w/a 2" lip
- Top shelf has a 2" lip and its compartments are 8"; 12"; 11 3/4"; & 8" wide from right to left
- Most walls and dividers are 1/4" thick, but bottom lip is 7/16" thick and the bottom plate is 3/8" thick
