Entrant #1: dad's truck
Owner: Gary Lewis
Location: Skiatook, OK
Model: 1981 F150 Ranger 4wd Regular Cab Long Bed
Engine: 351M converted to a 400, Trick Flow heads, Tim Meyer pistons: Weiand intake, roller cam & lifters. In addition Tim's oil system modifications have been done, the rods have been shot-peened, and the water pump is a Flow Cooler. Dyno'd 480 lb-ft @ 3800 and 380 HP @ 4400
Driveline: E4OD; BW1356; D44; 9"
Upgrades: The E4OD and BW1356 are both upgrades as the truck came with a C6 and NP208. The E4OD has 4 speeds, an overdrive, and a lock-up torque converter, which should increase MPG as well as reduce noise on the road, and the BW1356 is supposedly stronger than the NP208 so it should handle the increased power better.
Story: The truck was originally purchased by a friend of our family and used for many duties, including towing a travel trailer all over the US. My father purchased it and it became his pride and joy. When he could no longer use it he gave it to me, and I started a frame-off "restification" on it. (Restoration doesn't fit since it has a bit more power than it did originally. But modification isn't quite right as there are many things that are stock. So I use the term "restification".)
To date all of the body work is complete, although not all has been installed. But the engine and the rest of the driveline is complete and has been installed. In addition the brakes have been installed - along with stainless brake lines. But there is a lot more work to be done.
Basically, all parts are being powder coated or, if they are too big for the blast cabinet, they are painted. Here are a few pictures of things:

And here's a video of the engine running on the dynomometer:
