Brian's 1986 F250
Owner: Brian Dee
Location: New Lenox, Illinois
Model: 1986 F250 XLT Lariat
Engine: 460
Driveline: 4 spd manual 4x4
Upgrades: Some minor rust repair. Swapped out the torn bench for a mint 85 bench ($50 junk yard find). New carpet thanks to a helpful Bible member. Leveling kit to get the stance right. Set of aluminum Alcoa wheels and toyo 33s. Holley performance carb on an aluminum intake.
Story: About a year ago I was on the hunt for a dentside to replace one I sold years ago. This bullnose caught my eye and I couldn't pass it up. Only has 99,000 miles and was super solid (only rust spot over one rear wheel well which I cut out). Original owner kept it almost entirely stock. No cut up wiring or silly add-ons. Like the big block but plan on pulling it in the winter and doing a rebuild and performance upgrade to see what more I can get from it. Have a Z5 ready to swap in for when it goes back together. Next year probably work on axle swaps and suspension work. Just enjoying cruising around town in such a clean and well preserved survivor. Definitely staying in my collection.
