Story: I purchased my ’85 Bronco in the spring of 2016 for $600. When I bought the truck it was missing the original engine. Rumor has it that the original owner went to jail and parked it at a friend's house ( the guy I purchased it from). I am assuming he used the original 351 4V as a replacement engine for another truck. My dad and I put a 302 out of a ’96 Explorer in the Bronco originally. After I purchased a ’94 Lightning I decided the Bronco needed a 351W again. I fully rebuilt a 351W for it (see details above). I also rebuilt a C6 for it. To my surprise, my Bronco is a One-of-One truck according to the Marti Report.
This truck means a lot to me because my father and I have “built” it to the way it is today. The memories that I have with this truck will live within me forever. At the moment she is stored away until I have completed college. After I complete college I plan on finishing the restoration. This includes repainting the truck back to factory original and also going through the front and rear differentials and adding a Traction-Lok to the rear.
