ford's master parts catalogs
Ford has published what is called the Master Parts Catalog (MPC) for decades for their vehicles. They contain both the part numbers for the many parts but also illustrations for how those parts fit into the vehicle.
Ford provided MPC's to the dealerships in two formats - microfiche and paper. And they did so periodically throughout the years, with additions, corrections, and replacements added as the years went on. And, for the 1980 - 89 trucks the final edition of the MPC was in March of 1994.
The MPC is a wonderful publication and helps those of us working on these trucks in many ways. So it is an addition to your library that is worth considering. I personally have two versions of the 1994 MPC, both on CD, as well as some earlier versions on microfiche.
As far as I know there are only two places to get the '94 version on CD, and that is HiPo Parts and Forel Publishing, which are the two I have. But apparently those came from the same copy of the MPC as they both have the same pages left out. Fortunately, with a little help from my friends, I've gotten copies of the missing pages and they are available here for download to add to your MPC - but aren't very helpful w/o an MPC of your own. Just click on the link and you'll be given the opportunity to view the file and, if you decide to do so, then download it to put in your MPC.
